A free platform helps to prepare and to assess energy efficiency projects

What investment is needed to improve the energy efficiency of a public building? How long will this expenditure be recovered? And the solar panels? Are they a good investment for public buildings?
These and other doubts that the municipal public servant may encounter when facing projects to advance in the efficient use of electricity can be resolved in Enerflix, a free online platform launched by the IDB.
It was created with the aim to assist to the municipalities to use electricity more efficiently, generating savings in its use or adopting cleaner sources, the tool is also accessible to the general public.
It provides content adapted to different levels of knowledge on three fronts:
• Energy efficiency in general, focusing on public buildings
• Energy efficiency of public lighting
• Distributed generation by photovoltaic systems (by solar panel)
