IDB study presented at the 55th Coffee with Sustainability – FEBRABAN

In an event held on August 14th a study undertaken by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) together with FEBRABAN (Brazilian Federation of Banks), the Centro de Estudos em Sustentabilidade of the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGVces) and the Associação Brasileira de Energia Solar Fotovoltaica (ABSOLAR) was presented with proposals to enable financing in scale for photovoltaic generation systems. The study includes financial modeling results that examine the viability of financing for photovoltaic projects along with a risk analysis model that considers the credit risk of the client as well as of the project to be financed. To test the model, 8 financial institutions are participating in a pilot, under the coordination of the IDB.
