BBVA closes its first green bond in Ireland

Electricity Supply Board (ESB), a leading Irish utility, has arrived to the green bond market issuing a 500 million euros deal with the support of BBVA in structuring the issuance and as joint bookrunner. This is the first ever transaction of an Irish company in the green bond market and resources will be allocated to green projects in renewable energy, energy efficiency, clean transport and green buildings.
