SUMMARY:

The IEA published two manuals on energy efficiency indicators in 2014, the Energy Efficiency Indicators: Essentials for Policy Making and the Energy Efficiency Indicators: Fundamentals on Statistics (http://www.iea.org/publications/freep...). Both publications provide the necessary tools to initiate or further develop in-depth indicators for energy efficiency and to support the development of effective energy efficiency policies. The Energy Efficiency Indicators: Essentials for Policy Making is aimed at providing energy analysts with tools needed to determine the priority areas for the development of energy efficiency indicators and how to select and develop the data and indicators that will best support energy efficiency policy. The information gained from these indicators will help policy makers to set energy efficiency targets and track progress towards these targets. This webinar provides an overview of this publication and highlights how better indicators can help with better decision making.
