The 2021 Bond Awards have new categories for sustainability-linked bonds and sustainability-linked loans.

IDB Invest was recognized with 3 awards:

-Award for innovation – bond structure (social bond); initiative of the year – social bond: Davivienda/IDB Invest, for their work on the world’s first gender-linked bond based on achieving outcomes.

-Award for innovation – use of proceeds (social bond): Banco W/IDB Invest, for the first social bond with a gender perspective issued by a commercial microfinance institution in Colombia.

-Green project bond of the year: CADU/IDB Invest, for the first Climate Bond Initiative (CBI) certified green bond for the housing sector in Latin America
