The workshop is a space for IIC clients to obtain relevant information on how to develop and implement Environmental and Social Management Systems and to use sustainable strategies to strengthen their competitiveness. The highly interactive nature of the course leads to the possibility of sharing experiences among financial institutions. This year, new sessions will be introduced on the use of innovative digital platforms to improve environmental risk management and advice on risks and opportunities related to climate change. The workshop presents the concept of sustainability in a strategic context and its implementation in financial institutions. Modules will also be presented on:

• Identification and management of environmental, social and health and safety risks at work;
• Practical guidance on how to implement an Environmental and Social Management System;
• Systems incorporating the IFC Performance Standards;
• Practical cases and presentations by financial institutions that have already developed and implemented their Environmental and Social Management Systems.
