The Ministry of Mines and Energy and the Danish Embassy in Colombia signed a memorandum of understanding to promote cooperation and implementation of energy efficiency, renewable energy and electric mobility programmes.
Denmark is the first producer of offshore wind energy in the world, has a clean energy generation rate of almost 60% and incentive and investment policies for non-conventional renewable energy initiatives, such as green hydrogen or bioenergy.
For Denmark it is a great opportunity to contribute its experience as a world leader in clean energy to a country like Colombia, committed to the green transition.
With the signing of this memorandum, in addition to the exchange of technical knowledge, it is expected to attract investment from the Danish private sector in energy efficiency and offshore wind projects.
