In the facing of the current health crisis, the role of financial institutions is even more relevant as they should not only facilitate the economic recovery process, but also ensure proper alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in the medium and long term and the commitments of the Paris Agreement. This must be translated into responsible business strategies that drive the development and implementation of financial products and services that support the pursuit of the SDG and the fight against climate change.

UNEP FI together with the Chilean Network of Supporting Institutions, which includes the Finis Terrae University (UFT), GOVERNART, the Chilean Association of Investment Fund Administrators (ACAFI), the Santiago Chamber of Commerce (CCS), FinteChile, ACCIÓN CLIMÁTICA, the Inter-American Federation of Insurance Companies (FIDES), and the International Federation of Pension Fund Administrators (FIAP), are organising a series of webinars, which will have a mainly practical focus where recent experiences in the implementation of the Sustainability Principles and their applicability in the banking and insurance sector will be shared.
