The IDB Group is committed to helping Latin American and Caribbean countries deliver the Paris Agreement objectives while the region transitions towards net-zero emission and climate-resilient economies. The COVID-19 crisis has brought social, economic, and health imminent challenges but also an opportunity to foster sustainable recovery into national planning.

That is why the Climate Change Division (CCS) is planning a three-day event on June 28, 29, 30 to virtually exchange among stakeholders from government authorities, the private sector, NGOs, academia, and civil society, the most important milestones achieved and that are building blocks towards a successful COP26. The sessions are expected to cover 6 themes: I) Sustainable recovery and just transition; ii) Climate Finance and Sustainable Finance; iii) Social resilience and Inclusive solutions; iv) Biodiversity Finance and Nature-Based Solutions; v) Resilience and Adaptation, and vi) Innovative solutions from the Private Sector.
