The IDB is supporting the second edition of the Green Bank Design Summit together with the Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) and the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). The event will be held online the week of 21-25 June 2021. The summit will bring together global stakeholders at the highest level around strengthening Green Banks. For this event Ms. Reina Irene Mejía -EVP of the IDB in the plenary session on June 21 “The Green Bank Movement: Enabling Green Recovery Through National Institutions” will represent the IDB together with Rémy Rioux, Chief Executive Officer, AFD and Teddy Mugabo, Head of Business Development, FONERWA.

The IDB has also been invited to participate in the workshop 3 “Start-Up, Launch & Results Tracking”, on June 24 (10 AM EDT) where the role of green bonds and potential financial instruments to support green banks in Latin America will be presented.
