In a context of crisis such as the one we are experiencing, new and urgent demands arise that represent an even greater challenge for development banking to fulfil its role of productive financing and resource allocation in an even more effective and efficient way, bringing effectiveness to its actions. In the context of COVID-19, monitoring and evaluation of financing programmes become even more important to guide actions and provide complementarity and synergy between programmes, optimising scarce resources.
