SUMMARY: The present report is based on the joint MDB approach to climate finance reporting, which was first presented in 2012 by the Group of Multilateral Development Banks (MDB), the Asian Development Bank (AfDB) ), The African Development Bank (AfDB), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the European Investment Bank (EIB), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC). The World Bank Improved monitoring of climate finance responds to the particular context of multilateral development banks' activities in developing and emerging economies and builds on the premise that climate finance and development are Closely aligned. This is the third year that the BMD group makes joint reports.
