The Minister of Finance, Felipe Larraín, chaired the meeting in which the Public-Private Green Finance Roundtable was launched. The Green Finance Roundtable aims to develop a green protocol to provide guidance in dealing with green finance, as well as assessing climate risk associated to financial activities in the country; the elaboration of general criteria to address climate-related risks and opportunities, and the development of a roadmap for climate finance in Chile in between 2020 and 2024. The Roundtable will contribute to strengthen the capacities of the Chilean finance market to address risks and opportunities arising from climate change.

This initiative has been driven by the Ministry of Finance with the support of the Inter-American Development Bank and UNEP FI.
